I lived for 20 years in the UK and I am deeply attached to the English culture and language. During these 20 years, I had the opportunity to evolve within many professional areas, which allowed me to gain both training and management experience. Back to France, I founded an immersion training centre for adults and then decided to become a school teacher. For the past few years, I have been teaching children from pre-school to primary level. I have loved trying new, alternative and differentiated teaching ways based upon the child’s well-being, autonomy, self-confidence and the respect of others. Moved by the strength of my experiences in France and abroad, and the fulness of my professional story, I look forward to, alongside you, taking the path traced by Elodie. If my footsteps will make their own marks, they will nevertheless remain true to the school values. The concept of YEL is, for me, the exact vision of a school where the child’s needs and skills are at the chore of the learning process. A caring but challenging school, calling for excellence in a nurturing environment where de child will be allowed to grow, assert himself, discover, try, make mistakes and learn.

Well, maybe it started that way. As a dream, but doesn’t everything. Those buildings. These lights. This whole city. Somebody had to dream about it first. And maybe that is what I did. I dreamed about coming here, but then I did it. - Roald Dahl
